Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974 lets the US Trade Representative act against a country's unfair or unreasonable trade practices, including with additional duties. 60 Chapter 99 headings are in force under the Section 301 forced labor tariffs on October 26, 2026, adding 10%–12.5% to the regular duty and covering every product from the countries they name. The latest change took effect on July 28, 2026.
